A website isn't for life, but it can be just for ChristmasPosted on 12 December 2011

Christmas is nearly upon us and no doubt there are quite a few of us who haven't yet bought all our presents. Some of us (like me), haven't bought any presents at all yet. What can you get that's different and yet will provide hours of endless entertainment?
You may know someone in your family, or a friend perhaps, who would love to build their own website. A teen with an interest in the internet maybe? Or the cousin who has been talking about starting their own business? Or maybe even you've been thinking that the new year could be the time for you to strike out on your own and start your own small business?
You could buy the teen a video game, sure. Or the cousin a book on how to start your own business. On the other hand, you could buy them a useful tool that will get them well on their way to building their very own website from scratch. Why not buy them a website builder? A website builder is an online package that lets you create your own website, without the need for any technical programming knowledge. It's an ideal way for the teen to learn all there is to know about website content, design and SEO, while they're amusing themselves by creating a website for their sports team, their mountain bike club, or their band. And with all that time on their hands over Christmas, they will never be bored once they start designing and making their own website.
And what about you? Spoil yourself! Christmas is a time when many people evaluate their lives and their careers and maybe now is just the right time to take that plunge to working for yourself. Use the spare time over Christmas to make a start, and who knows, this time next year you could be running a hugely successful ecommerce site selling your very own products or services online!
We're offering a free 7-day trial of our WebMaker website builder now, so have a look at this and our WebMaker TV ad to find out more.
Good luck and a very Merry Christmas!
